So glad to see your posts and newsletter. I was a Clearwater member 1974-1990 and now get their newsletter. I guest crewed from 1975 to 2000 eight weeks over the years. Last two were with Mistic Whaler and the Hudson looked remarkably clearer in 2000 compared to 1975. I mss the Pumpkin sail all the way down to NYC when we were allowed to dock at South St. Seaport. The captain of the Ambrose there used to let us shower on his boat. I was with the NYC Friends and we had a table on the pier and sold baked goods and Clearwater items whenever they were in port. We also went out to Shoreham to protest the plans for a reactor ( which was never built). And went up to Mystic Seaport one winter to scrape paint off the hull. Went to Yonkers to help build the Sojourner. Some people I remember from the club are Stephanie Colcord, Diane and Dennis Ladner, Carleton Gordon, and the Moselle Brothers. Don’t know where they are today . We never had an organized outreach to women then so I am happy you are doing your newsletter. Thanks a bunch.
